Typed family newsletters of the Leavitt family. Most of the persons in the family are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they have connections to southern Utah (St. George area) and southern Nevada (Bunkerville area). The materials deal with family news and the attempts of distant cousins to keep in touch with each other. The newsletters include photographs of Michael Leavitt, governor of the state of Utah.

Michael Okerlund Leavitt was born February 11, 1951 in Cedar City, Utah. He served with the Utah National Guard from 1969 to 1975. In 1973, he received a B.A. in economics and business from Southern Utah University. He married Jacalyn Smith. He worked for The Leavitt Groups, a regional insurance firm, founded by his father, and served on the boards of directors of several large companies.
